D-核糖(D-ribose),分子式C5H10O5,是重要的五碳單糖,是核糖核酸(RNA)、ATP的重要組成物質,對生命的形成有重要作用。D-核糖也是重要的藥物中間體,用于多種核酸類藥物的生產,并且具有廣闊的應用前景。
D-核糖是生物體內遺傳物質――核糖核酸(RNA)的重要組成物質,在核苷類物質、蛋白質、脂肪代謝中處于樞紐位置,具有重要的生理功能及廣闊的應用前景。D-核糖作為生物體內存在于所有細胞中的天然成份,與腺苷酸的形成和三磷酸腺苷(ATP)的再生有密切關系,是生命代謝最基本的能量來源之一。在心臟和骨絡肌代謝中起關鍵作用,能夠促進局部缺血組織、局部缺氧組織的恢復。
核酸類藥物是當今人類治療病毒、腫瘤、艾滋病的重要手段,D-核糖是許多核酸類藥物的重要中間體,可用于三氮唑核苷、腺苷、胸苷、胞苷、氟腺嘧啶核苷、2-甲基腺苷、威他毒素、吡唑毒素、腺苷旦氨酸等許多藥物的生產中。
